Jodhaa Akbar may not have a got a theater release in Rajasthan but the pirated VCD's and DVD's are in demand like nothing before.
According to reports in Jaipur, the sales of Jodhaa Akbar pirated copies are more in five days than total sales of blockbuster films like Om Shanti Om and Welcome. The bootlegged copy is making a killing for vendors in Rajasthan.
As the for the cinema release it is not happening yet as owners do not want any damage to their properties by the minority group in the state.
As an exhibitor pointed out in Jaipur "All the enquiries are for when is Jodhaa Akbar coming but the risk is too big at the moment due to the risk of vandalism but the people of Rajasthan will see the film no matter what, be it cable, VCD/DVD or cinema halls in time, these groups can stop the film releasing but can never stop it being watched by the people of Rajasthan".
