Chetan Bhagat turns assistant

He has written many best- selling novels. And now we hear that Chetan Bhagat will assist in the film adaptation of his book, 3 Mistakes of My Life.

The film's director Abhishek Kapoor offered the author to join the crew when the film takes off in March.

Bhagat said, "Abhishek is a pal. We hang out together, so being a part of his project would be easy for me."

The author is also excited about UTV taking over the project. "I share a very comfortable relationship with them. They had earlier bought the rights of my book Revolution 2020. I feel they're the right producers for 3 Mistakes of My Life."

The film will star newcomers and will be shot in Ahmedabad. While Bhagat is excited about assisting his friend, he confessed, he wouldn't be a part of the casting process. "I know nothing about acting. But I do know that the film requires new faces because it's a story of three guys stepping into life.

The film requires an edgy, realistic offbeat treatment. For me the journey from the big budgeted 3 idiots to the relatively low budgeted 3 Mistakes of My Life is interesting."
